Citrus Margarita Photoshoot, Part I

Last Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing my friend Ashley, who was a wonderful model (thanks Ash!!).  I had so much fun and I hope Ashley and Elysse (who came and acted as my assistant) enjoyed it as much as I did.  For the most part, everything ran smoothly and the shoot turned out just the way I wanted.  I'm really happy with the picture results.  The theme was "citrus margarita" in honor of Ashley's love for margaritas.  I posted an inspiration board behind the shoot here

Umm, these next two have got to be some of my favorites!  The light was perfect and Ash looks AWESOME!!

Fierce!

Ok, we had trouble figuring out how to position this stupid lemon.  I definitely was no help in the matter.  Everything we tried looked awkward.  The one on the right is completely candid and I love it.  Thank you Ashley for figuring out what to do with this lemon.

Ashley, thank you for being such a trooper.  I know I made you walk through the prickly, dry, dead plants/weeds (at least I put you in cowboy boots to protect your legs) but I think the results were worth it.  I had to suffer too so at least you weren't alone.

Finishing on a good note, this last one rocks!

I took all of these pictures with the Nikon 35mm f1.8 that I rented.  I love the results and I cannot wait until I own this lens.

Once again, thank you Ash, you did such an awesome job and you look beautiful!

Elysse, you're next...get ready for your moment in the spotlight.  And thanks for helping.

There are more pictures to come from this photoshoot that I will post gradually over the next few days.  Enjoy!
