Happy Friday everyone but also, happy Font Friday! It has been awhile since I shared a favorite font here and I'm glad to be back in the normal routine today. I found this font yesterday and I'm pretty in love with it already. It has all the characteristics that appeal to my design senses. It has a handwritten quality to it, feeling a bit like Strangelove, it is skinny, and it draws inspiration from vintage Berlin. I couldn't ask for much more. Let me introduce you to Dolce Caffè:
The foundry who created it Resistenza created Dolce Caffè after being inspired by the café culture of Europe. They wanted the lettering to be simple and legible so they modeled the type after vintage Berlin chalkboard lettering. All the letters are in caps.
Dolce Caffè is font heaven for me! What do you think of it? Get Dolce Caffè on MyFonts or visit the website to do a test drive of it before purchasing. The website is super fun and you can see all of the other great fonts designed by Resistenza.
Another favorite from this foundry is Bodoni at Home.
This font recreates classic Bodoni but in a handwritten style with a stylographic calligraphy pen. Normally the font is $9 but this month you can download it for free! Just awesome! Bring on more great handwritten types!
