Esprit Bohème dans la Chambre

It's Wednesday and I just have a quick little post today since I am busy with my part-time job.  Thanks for the feedback yesterday on my craft fair pictures.  It was fun to share them here on the blog because everyone is always so supportive and kind.  I cannot wait for my next craft fair experience.

Today I just wanted to stop by and say that I spotted one of my projects on an international blog, a French home blog called Côté Maison.  They put together a handful of projects that would encourage DIYers out there to infuse Bohemian spirit into their bedrooms.  They featured my vintage book frames project that I created for Papernstitch.  I was honored to have my work highlighted and especially to be included among a great group of projects that came from such big-time blogs as Design*Sponge, Apartment Therapy, and Decor8.  Thank you Côté Maison for including Lauren Elise Crafted!

This project was a favorite of mine and I was so excited to see it written about in French!  Be sure to visit and check out all of the fabulous Bohemian DIY ideas.

Blog Love

A few weeks ago I discovered that a couple of my pictures had been featured on other blogs.  As a new blogger and amateur photographer, this is such an honor and I really appreciate the blog love which I have received.  Typically I expect my blog readership to consist of a few of my best friends and my Mom but the possibility of more people being exposed to my little creations and ramblings is such a thrill.  It keeps me motivated to write as many posts as I can and to keep finding and making interesting stuff for people to see.  A big shout-out and thank you to the two wedding blogs that found my work worthy enough to grace their pages.

Yep, that last picture is my own, showcasing my first styled shoot (seen here) and my DIY mason jars (here).  I definitely think the mason jars add a rustic touch so this picture is perfect for this post entitled "Rustic Handmade Love."  Emmaline Bride is a great source for wedding inspiration and it features a lot of real weddings and engagement sessions.  I love seeing what real people do on their special day.  Styled shoots are great and they provide a lot of visual inspiration but they are not always realistic and feasible (especially on a budget).  It is truly inspiring to see how real people get creative and make their event personal and unique. 

Grey Likes Weddings

I have been a big fan of Grey Likes Weddings for awhile now so I was super excited to be featured here.  Summer (the talented mastermind behind Greys) featured my postcard DIY which was one of my favorite projects (post here).  I love the idea of using vintage postcards in different crafty ways.  I think the possibilities are endless as to how you could incorporate them.  Summer is such a talented stylist and such an inspiration.  I particularly like how she uses vintage and modern elements in her work because that eclectic mix of old and new is what I am drawn to. 

One of my favorite projects she did was a gift she made for her boyfriend called "The US Box."  It was so sentimental and personal but also beautiful.  I loved the little mementos she found to represent their relationship.  This is how Summer described it: "The idea was to give him tangible items that represent intangible commitments I make to him in our relationship."  What a great gift idea for someone really special!
